WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney are showing the urgency of the campaign's final stretch. The incumbent alone is set to cover 5,300 miles Wednesday in the busiest single day of his re-election bid.
Both men are claiming a growing advantage even as voters show little give.
From Iowa to Colorado to the ever-important Ohio, bigger crowds and late October scenery offer the feel of a campaign starting to finally crackle.
Obama has centered on a closing theme that voters simply cannot trust Romney, while the challenger warns of the bleak times four more Obama years would bring.
Setting up for a frenetic finish, both campaigns sought to show they had enthusiasm and organization on their side.
Obama set himself up to campaign nearly around the clock Wednesday.
